I redesigned Radio Panasonic R-218R and I got an amazing superior Radio Receiver. The main upgrades in the circuit are indicated in the second schematics diagram. If you change the indicated components only, you will get the same quality upgrade like the one shown in the video. Optional further upgrades would include changing all the transistors with Bias Resistors, Audio Circuit, detection, RF and Mixer circuits. Future upgrade may include adding an FM circuit (IC 9088 would be a perfect choice, with some changes like changing the Band Switch and setup for the PVC to use AM side As FM by using capacitors modifiers, other modifications also might be needed).
