Detroit Red Wings star Vladimir Konstantinov suffered severe brain damage in a limo crash in the late 1990's. Since then, the now 55-year-old has needed round-the-clock medical care. Along with about 18,000 other Michigan residents with severe traffic-related injuries, Konstantinov has lost his state-funded, unlimited lifetime medical care due to changes in Michigan's auto insurance law.
