Hello, and welcome back to another train trip report on my channel.

In this video I will be travelling on-board a GWR Class 166 'Turbo' from Bristol Temple Meads to Portsmouth Harbour.

This is one of the most important regional routes on the GWR network, originating in Cardiff, and serving key hubs along the way, such as Bristol, Bath, Westbury, Salisbury, and Southampton, before finally terminating at Portsmouth.

The route used to be operated by regional Class 158 units, which were a real pleasure to ride. Nowadays, it's mostly operated with these commuter Class 166 units. Are they more of a downgrade in comfort, or a much needed capacity boost? Find out by watching the video!

Enjoy the video. :)
