Restoring the original Yellowed and Dirty Playstation(PS1) - Vintage Console restoration & repair -ASMR

In this video, I show you how I restored this original Retro Console Playstation one.
I bought this console on eBay for $2 I wanted to restore a PlayStation 1 for my next console restoration/repair.

The PlayStation PS1 or its codename PSX) is a home video game console developed and marketed by Sony Computer Entertainment. It was first released on 3 December 1994 in Japan

This console saw better days...

But now after more than 27 years is yellowed and dirty

This time I didn't dare to test it before cleaning the worst dirt off because it could cause it to short of maybe scratch my games as they are spinning in the drive.

I show you how to remove the yellowing from vintage plastics with Retr0bright method.

How to Remove Yellow Stains from Plastic
Whether they're from foods, sunlight, or chemical reactions, yellow stains often show up on plastic. There are many ways you can try to tackle these stains, such as soaking the plastic in bleach, rubbing alcohol, or hydrogen peroxide

Coat the plastic in hydrogen peroxide to fix discoloration. Hydrogen peroxide works well on plastics that have turned entirely yellow instead of in just one spot. Fill a plastic bag with enough hydrogen peroxide to cover the plastic. Stick the plastic in the bag of hydrogen peroxide and lay it out in direct sunlight. Wait 3-4 hours before rinsing it off with clean water.[5]
You can purchase hydrogen peroxide at a drugstore or big box store.
If you’re treating some sort of plastic mechanism, make sure you remove all the parts that aren’t plastic before putting them into the hydrogen peroxide.
You can also use an old toothbrush to scrub the hydrogen peroxide onto the plastic if desired
