Death is an inescapable and unchangeable part of life. The notion that our time in this world has an expiration date, no matter who you are, is largely what defines us and gives meaning to the things we do. But while death is absolute and unchangeable, what has changed is our understanding and perception of it. This video essay asks; how has the way we think of death changed and how is that being reflected in our art?
