We get up close and personal with the new 2025 ‘G90’ BMW M5 Sedan at its global debut, checking out the details on Munich’s shocking new PHEV V8 halo car.

Boasting 535kW and 1000Nm from its electrified, twin-turbocharged ‘M Hybrid’ powertrain, the all-new ‘G90’ M5 boasts switchable two- and four-wheel drive and 3.5sec 0-100km/h performance.

It’ll also tour up to 69 kilometres purely on electric power and hit 305km/h with its petrol-electric plug-in system fully uncorked.

Tom Baker takes us for a tour of the newcomer inside and out, ahead of the new model’s Australian debut. Pricing expected to approach $300K for BMW’s new ‘G90’ four-door M Car when it lands Down Under in Q4 2024.
