Guest speaker Laura Waddell covers the Louisa Carmen Medical Debt Relief Act, which bans the reporting of most medical debt to credit reporting agencies and adds critical financial protections for patients. This bill was signed into law on July 22nd, 2024 by Governor Phil Murphy, marking a significant victory for health justice in our state.
