We speak with Joel Roodman, who was part of the early management team of Miramax Films and helped in the marketing and distribution of “Pulp Fiction,” “Good Will Hunting,” “Shakespeare in Love,” “Life is Beautiful,” “The English Patient,” and many more of the greatest independent films of the 1990’s. Along the way, Joel shares amusing encounters with Madonna and Robert DeNiro and talks about some of his favorite films, including “The King of Comedy” and “Airplane.”
