Waris Ali Shah – Sarkar Waris Pak (Dewa Sharif)
(1819-1905)

Sarkar Waris Pak was a Sufi saint from Dewa Sharif Barabanki Uttar Predesh India, & Sarkar was the founder of the Warsi order of Sufism. Sarkar travelled widely in the west and admitted people to his spiritual warsi order. The shrine of Sarkar Waris Pak is situated at Dewa in Uttar Pradesh India.

Waris Pak History

Sarkar Waris Pak was born in the starting of 19th century in the town of Uttar Pradesh called Dewa. Dewa Sharif is the town in the north barabanki district.

His parents were Qurban Ali Shah and Syed Bibi Sakina, however Waris Ali Shah lost his parents at the age of three, after which his brother-in-law Haji Syed Khadim Ali Shah was his custodian. At the age of five Waris Ali Shah started reading the Quran and memorised the whole Quran in the period of two years.

Since his brother-in-law was himself an eminent scholar, he taught Waris Pak the mysteries and occult science and made him scholar who has the knowledge of physical world and the afterlife.

Title of Waris Pak

Waris Pak of Dewa Sharif came from the family of Hussaini Syeds. Since he was from the 26th generation of the family of Hazrat Hussain, he was given this title WARIS.

Waris is one of the 99 attributions of Allah (sbt), which means that when everything will be perished he alone will survive hence waris was the title of Sarkar.
