Discover the wonders of Prince Edward Point National Wildlife Area (NWA), located about 20 kilometres southeast of Picton, Ontario, along the northeast shore of Lake Ontario. This area has hiking trails, picnic areas and beaches while also hosting the greatest number of birds on the Canadian side of Lake Ontario. Approximately 300 species of birds have been recorded on the point, including songbirds, waterfowl and birds of prey. In addition, Prince Edward Point NWA is an important staging area for migrating bats and Monarch butterflies.
