Video from the weekend of the 21st and 22nd of September 2024 on the Bendigo line with a weekend of action featuring a couple of V/Line transfers (and a derailment in the Bendigo North workshops), a steam special and a PN grain.

Starting off with the first V/Line transfer on the 21st, we see N459 working 8097 from Southern Cross to the Bendigo North workshops hauling power van PH454 (making its' last run on V/Line metals) and three cars from set VN10, followed by the shunting moves at the workshops during which N459 was seen to drop a wheelset into the dirt.

That afternoon it's down to Castlemaine for the departure of R761 on its' 40th anniversary of restoration special, running as 8096 from Castlemaine to Southern Cross, while later that night at Bendigo we also see Pacific National's XR550, BL29 and G536 working 9048 grain from Deniliquin to North Geelong.

On the 22nd the second V/Line transfer arrived with N461 hauling H set SSH21 on its' last trip on V/Line metals as 8099 from Southern Cross, this set and PH454 having been acquired by Steamranger and bought up to Bendigo from where they would be trucked across to Goolwa, the first of their kind to wind up in South Australia.
