The Trans-Catalina Trail is an amazing and safe first experience for a solo female backpacker! Enjoy this vlog of my experience, plus a detailed explanation of the route I took, places I stopped, and a bit of history about the island and its wildlife.

I hiked from Avalon to Two Harbors during the first weekend of December, staying at Black Jack Campground and Little Harbor Campground and totalled about 25 miles in 3 days, 2 nights (saving the Parson's Landing loop for next time). The climbs were tough but the views, wildlife, and new friends made it totally worth it!
