This is our family’s first trip back to Jost Van Dyke in the British Virgin Islands since hurricanes Irma and Maria delivered a one-two punch to the region. We stayed at the newly renovated Pink House Villa on White Bay. We visited our old favorites on the island: Soggy Dollar Bar, Gertrude’s Beach Bar, One Love Bar & Grill, Ivan’s Stress Free Bar, Corsair’s, Abe’s by the Sea and of course, Foxy’s Tamarind Bar. We chartered service through Jost Van Dyke Scuba for a private round trip water taxi and a full day excursion. Our island hopping included The Baths at Virgin Gorda, lunch at Top of the Baths Restaurant, the Rum Bar at Cooper Island Beach Resort and Willy T’s. On the front end of the trip we stayed at The Mafolie Hotel, perched above the Charlotte Amelie Harbor in St. Thomas, and dined at the open air restaurant with the best view on the island. On our last night we stayed in the Charlotte Amelie neighborhood Frenchtown. This fishing village has seven restaurants around the marina, a short stroll from newly renovated Olga’s Fancy Inn.
