Hydraulics is key if you want to mill logs effectively and efficiently in large volumes. Manual mills are very popular these days because they are very affordable and I get it but they require lots of manhandling and manpower...which isn't bad if you have the time and helpers.

For a person looking to produce quantity and quality this really is the way to go, of course there are exceptions and lots of people will defend their purchases but once you operate a hydraulic mill you won't want to touch a manual mill for big jobs.
