I work full time at a corporate job, and resell on Poshmark as my side hustle.

Throughout my reselling journey, I’ve found SO MANY suede items that were slightly damaged. Whether it was a suede jacket, boots, shoes, or a luxury handbag – suede is delicate and is easily stained or matted down. In the past, I would simply pass over these items at the thrift store because I didn’t know how to clean them. When I finally picked a damaged suede item up, I couldn’t find a video on how to clean it. And so, I made one myself. 😊

To clean light stains and matting off suede you really only need two products, a suede eraser and a suede brush. I’ve left links for each of these items down below, you can get both for under $30 and they are amazing quality.

Please note that suede is DELICATE and as you clean it you want to be as gentle as possible. For more severe suede stains, you may need more products, but this is what I use.

I hope this helps you as you find suede items that have flaws, they really can sell for a lot of money on Poshmark. It’s worth the time to spend 5 minutes with an eraser and a brush cleaning them up!
