This video explores not only the comparison of these three lights, but the trend toward larger and larger lights. "Micro" sized SCOUT lights are now similar in size, and heavier, than GWOT era full-size SCOUT lights. The Rein 3.0 comes in at 4.8" and 5.4oz with battery and mount, the 340DFT Pro comes in at 4.9" and 5.1oz with battery and MLOK mount, while the Malkoff equipped Arisaka body and Surefire clicky cap and Arisaka mount come in at a scant 4.1oz and 5.2", even though this light packs two CR123's instead of one CR123/18450.

Also, we see that output is manipulated by step down drivers to preserve battery, and the 600 lumen rated Malkoff is listed as having 30 minutes of battery life from 3000-3200mah of battery (2 CR123's) and the 1000 lumen rated Rein 3.0 Micro is listed as having a 40 minute runtime from a 1200mah 18350. If these numbers don't make sense, it's because the driver in the Malkoff "flatlines" output, while the Surefire and REIN drivers plummet in brightness less than 2 minutes in.
