Nightcrawler was a monk living in a Swiss abbey, persecuted by his superior and the townspeople who believed him to be a demon. Gambit, Rogue, and Wolverine helped him through his trials. Later, his origin as the son of Mystique was discovered, revealing his foster sister to be Rogue and Graydon Creed Jr. his half brother. In the end, after a discussion, Mystique apparently died trying to save both of them from Creed and the Friends of Humanity.
Nightcrawler can teleport from one location to another.
