Step By Step Guide

1. Turn off the power: Switch off the power to the socket at the circuit breaker or fuse box.

2. Remove the faceplate: Take out the screws holding the faceplate and gently pull it forward.

3. Identify the wires: Look for the wires connected to the socket. You should see black (hot), white (neutral), and copper (ground) wires.

4. Disconnect the wires: Use a screwdriver to loosen the wire nuts or screws holding the wires to the socket. Gently pull the wires out.
