Chiefs of the Konkomba traditional area, led by the regent of Saboba, Yalimangli Solomon have called for the creation of a north-eastern region from the northern region.

This according to them will ensure the total development of districts within the proposed region.

They made this known when they called President Akufo-Addo at the flagstaff house to present a petition on the creation of the new region.
