Giant Strides 1 is the first in the series of videos that will be bringing to you the giant strides made during my two year tenure as the Chairperson of The Society of Women Accountants of Nigeria (SWAN), Port Harcourt chapter from October 2014 to November, 2016.

Having served as the first Vice Chairperson of the chapter at its inception in
September of 2012, it was expected that i should become the next chairperson at the expiration of the tenure of the first executives in October of 2014. But before then , i thought that I was not ready because my personal life needed attention. I saw only my needs and situation and thought i should step back to allow another person take up the role.

By the Godly counsel of two persons that knew my situation at that time, i was redirected to accept the chance to lead the then young chapter of our professional women association. After i repented and asked God for forgiveness, i sought direction from Him on what He wanted me to do with the position.

The directions came and i noted them down before my election.
The implementation of those things i was directed to do became the opportunity for our main professional body, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) to have its need met .
This video shares the event that brought that breakthrough for our district society and by extension, our main professional body.
