To use soft shadings instead of hatching lines was something I wanted to try out for quite some time now.
I love drawing with just one color, that's what's pretty special about comic book drawings, but this gave my superman drawing an extra kick I think. It's cool how different such a drawing looks, compared to a typical comic book drawing.
And this video has a huge TUTORIAL part where I show you how to properly use a pencil to shade your drawings with all kind of tips, tricks and different materials.
