Focus will be on the periodontal patient covering pain assessment, pain management strategies, advantages of ultrasonic instrumentation and how to combine these elements to achieve successful clinical outcomes.
Accessing critical areas of root anatomy will be covered as well the importance of biofilm disruption in periodontal pockets. Understanding the uses and limitations of various ultrasonic inserts and technologies is critical for tissue resolution following periodontal therapy and maintenance procedures. The importance of insert maintenance and proper sterilization protocols will be reviewed.
