Sofia Coppola's sophomore film "Lost in Translation" has been a favorite of mine for quite some time. Though when I first saw it as a teenager I didn't fully understand what made me love it so much, the older I've gotten the more I've seen it as a brilliant mediation on loneliness and depression, and how love can save us from ourselves.
