Here is the beginning of my canoe platform project. I needed a stable platform to get in and out of the canoe while snorkeling. This did a pretty good job.

I'd built the canoe about a year and a half ago. It's a Cinderella design (https://www.duckworksbbs.com/product-...) Free plans. I bought the book by the same designer, just because I liked some of the designs and wanted to learn more. I've not built others yet- I've got some ideas, but not the time, and it would be hard to haul them all back to the states on our next move (and my wife wouldn't be happy about another big project and more junk to haul around!). There were some mistakes in the drawings (some of the measurements) and I re-did the grid layout to better utilize my plywood, but the plans are free and good enough to easily work with. I'd expect a little more if I'd paid for the plans- as it is, someone is sharing their hobby and passion, so can't complain.

Here's the book on Amazon: https://amzn.to/2rl1tFF

Once built, I epoxied the joints of the main frame to keep water out and used Thompson's water seal on the whole thing to keep it from weathering prematurely.

The next video is of us testing the platform. Spoiler... it works pretty well.
