Here's a behind-the-scenes of a few sticker designs I've created on my ipad in procreate! This is a compilation of videos of 5 drawings being drawn, as recorded within procreate while I drew them. These are all caricatures of well known characters, reimagined in weird and trippy ways that capture the essence of the original while adding different design elements and eliminating things that aren't needed for recognizability.

The subjects of inspiration include:
Bugs Bunny reinterpreted with 3 eyes that double as ears since they are similarly shaped, with a head that flows right into his distinctive feet.

Dumbo the elephant reimagined as a Dumbo octopus, which is a real-life adorable animal named after Dumbo because of its ear-like flippers.

Mickey Mouse with exaggerated perspective that caricatures a popular pose of his, with his expression pushed even further and his flat shapes made more 3d with the forced perspective.

Spongebob drawn with a nose that is also his arm, as they have a similar shape, plus lots of extra eyes in his pores and tongue, plus a sink sponge texture, simplified shapes, and lots of design aspects.

Garfield with eyes that blend into his ear shapes, with a third eye and ear to continue the pattern of his face, plus a second nose, and fur photo texture to complement the otherwise flat and solid shapes.

The challenge of caricaturing a character is that the design is already so distinctive and perfectly balanced. To caricature that, you have to find the essence and push it further, while adding imagination and your own creative redesigning elements :)
