As part of the Wilder Woodlands project taking place across our Goblin Combe Nature Reserve and surround areas, we have been carrying out a technique called 'tree veteranisation'. This is a process which artifiically replicates ecologically important features found in older trees such as cracks, crevices, gapsand deadwood into younger trees.
