This week we manage to leave our amazing free camp on the beach and start heading up the Dampier Peninsula towards Cape Leveque. First stop two hours north of Broome is the beautiful Pender Bay, a natural whale nursery with spectacular cliff top camping. We stayed at Pender Bay Escape for five days fishing, relaxing and checking out some of the awesome rockpools! From there we travel just 10 minutes up the road the the locally run Smithy’s Seaside Adventures. Smithy’s was very different to Pender Bay but charming in its own way. Needless to say we loved them both, the Dampier Peninsular gets two thumbs up so far! Enjoy.
