Since “old school” DIY methods and culture are part of what we're about here at Shop Tales and Lore, we put together this collection of vintage holiday ads as a kind of Christmas card to our devoted viewers. Most of these were created by tool companies – some of which long ago faded into obscurity – but we also included a few that feature DIY electronics and engineering/science kits and toys, as well as a few Christmas-themed magazine covers. Whatever your Holiday traditions, we hope these bring a smile and pleasant memories. Please let us know in the comments about YOUR favorite tool gift stories!
