Watch a wild mustang stallion snake his band of mares and foals down to water and working them with the precision of a cutting horse. Snaking is a behavior where horses assertively move others by lowering their head, pining their ears, and with a menacing look. The band stallion, known as Nevada here in Oregon, zigzagged and crisscrossed the sage, moving each side of his band closer and closer to the water source. It's not always easy being a stallion.
