Born Benjamin Obadiah Iqbal Zephaniah.
Benjamin was a Dub Poet, living in England, inspired by the lyrics and music of Jamaica.
He promoted animal rights and veganism, championed anti-racism and environmental issues.

He was a playwright, an actor, an author of books, and released at least eleven (11) albums, and various singles and EPs.
