In this video, I discuss the use of hydraulic brakes on BMX bikes. I mention that while some people have installed hydraulic brakes on their BMX bikes, it often requires custom work to make it work. I then show a new frame from the brand We the People that has hydraulic brake mounts, which is a signature frame for a rider called Penny Chilling.

However, I express my doubts about the utility of hydraulic brakes on BMX bikes. I state that I have never heard of someone wanting better stopping power on their bike. I also mention that while the argument for using hydraulic brakes to save weight is valid, I do not believe that the extra hardware on the frame would make the bike significantly heavier.

Ultimately, I suggest that the use of hydraulic brakes on BMX bikes may be more of a novelty than a practical solution to a problem.
