In this video I presented an Alfa Mini Stirling engine that I am manufacturing, it is the smallest engine I have ever manufactured, where I cut a single 3 ml glass syringe to make the two cylinders.

Each piston has 9 mm outside diameter and initially 13 mm travel for both.

These 3 support plates for the cylinders are aluminum barbecue skewers.

See how a fire-eating engine works:    • Veja como funciona o motor comedor de...

For those who want to make an Alpha simpler, watch this tutorial:    • Tutorial 2: Construa simples Motor St...

My biggest difficulty in this project is in the internal fixation of the connecting rod support inside the piston. As I chose to remove the connecting rod from inside the piston, this made construction difficult. In the case of my battle tank, this joint is glued inside the piston, without the possibility of replacement.

In this project, I will try for the first time in an Alfa model, a crankshaft with traditional bushing, if I identify excessive friction due to lack of bearing, I can make this replacement in the future.

I also made a common bushing of the connecting rod on the crankshaft (without bearings), due to the practicality of its manufacture and even to disassemble the engine. Item tested and approved in the battle tank.

At the end of the video, I made a small demonstration of the operation of my first homemade Alfa Stirling engine. This engine has 7 years of life and until today it was not necessary any type of maintenance, this is something that I like in the Alfa models, due to the use of glass syringes.

Another important detail in this Alfa, is the engine with greater stroke in the pistons, where each piston travels a total distance of 30 mm. The great advantage that it has a good torque, and even with this characteristic, it demonstrates good rotation.
