My 2-year-old Grandson loves fans ... ceiling, split system, wind turbines, exhaust, ovens, extraction, laptops ...propellers. Fans are pretty much everywhere.
They can be discussed in size, numbers, purpose, on/off, fast slow, location... Who knew?
This song imagines a post-apocalyptic legacy world of artifacts continuing to function in the absence of humans.

The Fan Song (Artifacts of a Post-Apocalyptic World)
(Chords- C F G- channelling every country song ever written)

Way off in the outback in an old abandoned shed a fan kept on turning though the farmer was long dead.
All kinds of crazy animals like to gather there to play the thermostat kept the temperature perfect all throughout the day.
Chorus:
Fan on -Fan off -there was nothing else quite like it
Fan on -Fan Off -in the heat of the day and the dust
Fan on -fan off -spinning on forever spinning on forever until it’s work was done …

Down deep in the ocean where the whales like to sing a fan pushes filtered air through a sunken submarine … the barnacles all love it and the seals like to play in all the tiny bubbles below the sparkling waves.

Chorus:
Fan on -Fan off -there was nothing else quite like it
Fan on- Fan off- in the heat of the day and the dust
Fan on -fan off - spinning on forever, spinning on forever until it’s work was done …

On a tired old red planet in a long forgotten mine a fan revolves perpetually through the avalanche of time. Its terraforming atmosphere for a world no longer there, but all the microbes like it as they synthesise more air.

Chorus:
Fan on -Fan off -there was nothing else quite like it
Fan on- Fan off- in the heat of the day and the dust
Fan on fan off spinning on forever, spinning on forever until it’s work was done …
