Here's Jack Benny as Zeno, a more than average Martian citizen chosen by the High Council (William Conrad & Howard 'Floyd' McNear) to "greet" the rocket from Earth. Zeno was picked for his "suppression of imagination" but (he thinks) his job as a stair-tread applicator at an atomic escalator plant is too critical to miss. Zeno eventually accepts the task of putting 'Plan X' into motion, which is for him to make the humans feel at ease, then zap 'em with "ABSORBITRON" in order to make them Mars-friendly. Sit back, relax, have a cup of Gorik and listen to a fun story that was broadcast in 1953. The sound quality is virtually perfect.
