Lyodra Margareta Ginting, born on June 21, 2003, is an Indonesian singer and actress hailing from Medan, North Sumatra. She rose to fame as the winner of the tenth season of Indonesian Idol, becoming the youngest champion in the show’s history at the age of 16. A little over a year after her Indonesian Idol victory, on July 16, 2021, Lyodra released her debut studio album titled with her stage name. Her debut album received critical acclaim, winning the Album of the Year award at the 2021 Indonesian Music Awards. Additionally, her song “Pesan Terakhir” earned her the Best New Asian Artist Indonesia award at the 2021 Mnet Asian Music Awards.

Transitioning from her earlier career as a child singer in the group Di Atas Rata-Rata 2 under Gut Records, Lyodra’s solo debut album under Universal Music Indonesia marked her entrance into the adult music scene. Her achievements did not go unnoticed internationally, as Spotify honored her as the Artist of the Month for November 2021 from Indonesia as part of their Equal campaign. As a highlight of the campaign, Lyodra’s photo was featured on digital billboards in Times Square, New York, USA.

Further cementing her position in the music industry, Lyodra collaborated with Andi Rianto on a single titled “Sang Dewi,” a reinterpretation of Titi DJ’s 2001 hit song of the same name. The music video for “Sang Dewi” quickly gained traction, topping YouTube’s trending list within 20 hours of its release and amassing over 1 million views. The single also achieved success on digital music platforms, topping various charts including iTunes, Apple Music, and Spotify, as well as making an appearance on the Billboard Indonesia: Hits of the World chart for 11 consecutive weeks starting from September 10, 2022.
