Parang season in Trinidad and Tobago is a big deal. Celebrating for 100 days starting October, past christmas season, until January. It is a celebration of Caribbean music soca, soca parang, calypso and best of all the christmas spirit.

It is a huge part of Christmas in Trinidad and Tobago.

I got the honour of speaking to the current Parang Queen Ms Alicia Jaggasar and Soca royalty Ms Marge blackman, daughter of Ras Shorty I aka Garfield Blackman aka Lord Shorty.
