Roberts video #21. I'm exploring ways of salvaging the base, given it's not in the best condition. I believe that the chrome is in pretty good condition, except for under the drip tray. So far I have found that much of the discoloration on the chrome is caked-on coffee residue.

The idea is to run a rubber gasket around the edge of the base. This would cover up any rust we see there and also look good. The problem is what to do on the sides, where the bottom attaches to the base. I think this might prove problematic.
