Halo 3: ODST may be one of the shorter campaigns in the Halo series, but it’s nonetheless a game packed full of bite-sized chunks of everything that makes Bungie's Halo titles so brilliant.
And perhaps my favourite bite-sized chunk of them all is the Halo ODST mission NMPD HQ, which takes place around the game’s midpoint and tells the story of Buck and Romeo as they attempt to link up with fellow ODSTs Dutch and Mickey.
In this video, I analyse everything from NMPD HQ's level design and gameplay to its story, setting and soundtrack, to try and analyse why it's such a unique experience, while also drawing comparisons to Halo Combat Evolved's Truth and Reconciliation, Halo Reach's Nightfall and other games in Bungie's amazing Halo series.
