Built in 1986, this was Belleayre's first and only triple chair as well as Riblet-built lift. It replaced a 1964 Roebling (or Hopkins, who soon took over) double and ran from the mid-mountain lodges in between the Superchief Quad and the west side lifts.
Interestingly, the lift was painted blue below and black above the midstation, something that used to be the deal with the Tomahawk Quad. They may have done this to point out the intermediate and expert terrain (there was also a sign at the midstation saying "Intermediate skiers unload here"). However, as you can see the paint job became increasingly worn in the lift's later years.

Update 2023:
Sadly, this lift will be retired at the end of the 2022-3 season and be replaced by a Doppelmayr quad. Hopefully the new lift won't stop a million times like its lower mountain counterpart or bounce up and down like its predecessor. Still, it's unfortunate to see this one go; its retirement will make the Tomahawk Quad the new oldest extant lift on the mountain- something which I find crazy considering just a few years ago it wasn't anywhere close to holding that status with this and the doubles (the former Lifts 1 and 2).
