I like to think I’m a best faith viewer, meaning I don’t go into a movie or show expecting something is going to be terrible. In fact, I’m often willing to give writers and directors the benefit of the doubt.

So, when people were harping on Ki-Adi-Mundi having had knowledge of a Sith 100-some-odd years before episode 1, I was quick to point out that a Darkside user is not necessarily a Sith.

As I’m to understand it, both current canon and legends state that a Sith during these time periods must be descended through the line of Bane. And the idea that others couldn’t exist that also dabbled in the dark arts I felt was foolish.

Of course, the most recent episode of the Acolyte had to crap on that, with the villain admitting that he was in fact a Sith. Not that he has to be telling the truth, but I’m fairly sure he’s being honest.

It is true that Mundi still doesn’t know exactly what's going on, but if Sol doesn’t immediately send a transmission reporting back what happened, then the writers have hit a new low.
