Video of how I installed the Harley Oil Cooler Fan Assist on to the Road King Special. The process was easy with a couple of tricky areas. For one, removing the 2 torx screws required some heat to loosen the lock tight. Another tricky area is removing the hose clamps without damaging the hose itself. I did not use the included oil hose as the bike is new. I have a set of crimp type clamps and decided to use those instead of the included clamps. There is nothing wrong with the supplied worm gear type hose clamp.

I have yet to bring the bike into the 1000 mile service. When I do, I will have the service department activate both the Cool Flow fan and this Oil Cooler w/fan assist.

NOTE: To test the oil cooler fan operation once dealer have activate it, simply switch ignition to on, DO NOT start engine, and twist to full throttle and hold. The oil cooler fan will turn on. Switch ignition off to turn off after test.

I have the Dynojet Vision and so far, without any fan, the engine temperature, reported by the ECU runs between 270 F to 300 F degrees when the ambient temp was around 68 F degrees. The measurements was monitored 30 minutes into the ride. In town with many stop lights the temp will stay around 300 F degrees.
