I really enjoy experimenting with different painting media. I havent used oil paints a lot before. I only had like some student grade starter kit and i did only a few still life paintings with it. I havent tried doing portrait in oil before though. So this is my first try of a portrait using oil colors. I named her scarlet because of the brilliant red poppy flowers and her red lips.
Painted using winsor and newton artist oil colors on a canvas board. They are so good btw.
I will definitely paint a lot more portraits in oil because its so much enjoyable.
