Soap on a Rope on a Rope was a challenging compilation to make. The gimmick this time was to use proper vocals on each song. It was a learning experience, and I'm lucky that I was able to get the takes I did, as my voice is wildly inconsistent due to never having had lessons. Lyrically, it's mostly just psuedo-poetic nonsense; whatever came to mind when recording the vocal parts is what I went with. For the time being, I see this as the summit of my compilations; the only way to go from here is to start working on my non-spontaneous music again.


What's with all the jumping off of all the clouds that can wander?
Falling is such a fickle thing and I
Wanted some succor, yet I was given nothing but a simple carving

My love is a blank page, it writes down words that hide from the wide lens
Bleeding in the cinnamon and
My eyes only wander, when you delete the ceiling an avenge the morning

I'll balance on a thread, so far flung from the norm)

A song in summer, a song in slumber, a song that carries, a song that falters
A song for winners, a song for losers, a song that barters, a song that dithers
