I LOVE ST ANGER - it's my favourite Metallica album! People keep trying to "fix" this song / album by dampening the snare drum and adding solos, and if I'm being honest they're scrubbing away everything that makes Metallica's Magnus Opus different and impactful.

St Anger is an influential hardcore record, and I hope this cover helps show that! The drums are obnoxious. The guitars are flubby. The master is kinda overcooked. And it's rad BECAUSE of those things, not in spite of them. Y'all trying to turn a bona fide hardcore album into a palatable metal album just because "metal" is in the band's name??? smh.
