Patrick and Jack are friends who survive an epidemic that turns the infected people into zombies. However, their friendship eventually crumbles when Patrick's wife, Emma, passes away. After the zombies disappear, Jack raises Emma's daughter, Lu, as his own while Patrick drowns himself in alcohol. The feud between Jack and Patrick continues until a new breed of creatures emerges to threaten their homes.
