Various turrets can be mounted in a few simple steps on the rescue cage of Rosenbauer aerial ladders to deliver water for firefighting operations. These can be operated by the turntable ladder crew by hand or remotely via the display from the basket and main control stations. The pipe integrated into the rescue cage and the water pipe in the uppermost part of the ladder supply the turret with sufficient water. All that is required is to connect a pressure hose to the lower end of the pipe before the ladder is extended. Since the operation of the turret with the weight and the recoil forces of the water jet also have an influence on the stability of an aerial ladder, a few measures for safe operation of the turret must be observed.
