In this video I introduce the concept of sect, which is an interpretive distinction that was used in ancient astrology to distinguish between day and night charts.

I show how sect can be used to identify the most positive and negative planets in an astrological chart, in terms of where the benefics and malefics fall on a spectrum in expressing their positive or negative significations.
