On this cake decorating tutorial I show you how to make this Modern Abstract Aged Stone Cake with edible crinoline made with rice paper. I also show you how to add texture to your Fondant using impression mats and wafer paper petals. This is definitely my style;)

Rice paper crinoline= Cut 1 piece of rice paper into small pieces. Add 100 ml cold water and allow to soak for 10 minutes. Blend in an emersion blender, ninja or food processor until mostly smooth. Add food coloring and 1 tsp vegetable oil and mix until homogenous. Pour 2 tablespoons onto preheated skillet and allow to dehydrate moving around with a silicone spatula or pastry brush. When it begins to pull away from the pan, gentyl remove and allow to sit at room temperature for an hour before using. Can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature.

Wafer Paper Conditioner= Add 1 tsp food grade glycerine to 8 tsp. water and heat in the microwave for 1 minute. Allow to cool and store in the refridgerator.
