Its that time of year once again.. where we start seeing heritage railways running their Autumn Galas. This years Severn Valley Railway Autumn Steam Gala, held over the weekend of the 19th-22nd September, had a very strong LMS theme with the presence of two big LMS 4-6-0s in the form of West Coast Railways owned Black Five no.44932 & LMS Jubilee no.45596 'Bahamas'.

Also visiting for the third time was Didcot Railway Centre based new build Saint class locomotive no.2999 'Lady of Legend' alongside East Lancs based L& Y Tank no.11456 running alongside four of the SVR's own locomotives, including 4930 'Hagley Hall', 7714, 13268 & 75079.

With an intensive timetable, the event saw the railways BR Class 108 Diesel Multiple Unit in operation as an extra shuttle service ferrying passengers between Kidderminster and Highley alongside 11456.
