Tuesday, August 1, 2023, Mayor Andre Sayegh, the Paterson City Council, the Paterson Police Department, and city partners will celebrate National Night Out with the Paterson community. National Night Out is a nationwide community-building campaign that brings neighbors, local law enforcement agencies, and community partners together to foster camaraderie and enhance partnerships. The event is celebrated annually on the first Tuesday of August. Its purpose is to heighten crime prevention awareness, generate support for anti-crime efforts, and promote neighborhood fellowship, ultimately making communities safer places to live. Activities will be held throughout the city at all six wards. Activities vary by location, including movies, bounce houses, BBQ, face painting, and more.

Event Highlights:
1. Community Engagement: Residents will be able to interact with their local law enforcement officers, city officials, and community leaders in a relaxed and friendly environment, opening lines of communication and understanding.

2. Fun and Educational Activities: The event will feature various engaging activities, entertainment, and educational demonstrations for people of all ages, including games, music, and informational booths from community organizations.

3. Community Partnerships: National Night Out would not be possible without the support of our valued community partners. Their involvement highlights the importance of collaborative efforts in creating a safer and stronger Paterson.
